Reverse cloud migration saved our customer $175k/month

How a marketing intelligence firm reduced monthly infrastructure costs from $200,000 to $25,500 after partnering with EXSQ. With predictable workloads and rising cloud expenses, EXSQ architected a strategic reverse cloud migration that improved performance and restored cost control. Q&A

How much time do you need from our team during the audit?

Minimal. We start with a preview questionnaire and typically conduct three 1-hour interviews. That’s it.

Do you need access to our systems?

We can work with Read only access. Alternatively we can work off configs, but direct access is more comprehensive.

Is there a limit to the number of virtual or physical devices for the audit?

No, as this can be highly variable. We’ll constrain the work to the three week duration once access is granted. We’ve found this duration can uncover the majority of concerns.

Do we need to already have some documentation?

While helpful, existing documentation is not required. We will create current state documentation as part of this effort.

What happens after an infrastructure audit?

Many of our customers choose to have us implement the recommendations or support their team in making the changes. Also, if a particular application, be it third party that you host or developed internally, is identified as a resource constraint we can take a deep dive into that application ecosystem.

How do I know if my IT infrastructure is outdated or inefficient?

If you’re battling frequent outages and reactive security, your infrastructure isn’t just a pain point, it’s a bottleneck. When you find yourself adding more resources to solve the problem ASAP instead of taking a breather to look at the overall strategy, you lack the extensible foundation necessary to scale.

How often should a business conduct a tech infrastructure audit?

An objective audit is critical when you hit a 'friction point', such as stalled migrations, cost overruns, or planned growth. If your infrastructure feels overly complex or knowledge is siloed within a few individuals, a third-party review ensures your foundation can actually support your next move.
